Sending in Your Donations

Thank you for considering SOFEA as part of your charitable giving. There are several ways you can pay in your gift.

By BACS payment

You can pay directly into our account from your own bank or building society, either online or at any high street bank or post office. Please email finance@sofea.uk.com to obtain our bank details or call 01235 510774. Please let us know your name, postal address, amount and the date of the transaction and how you raised the money as this will help us identify your donation when it shows up on our bank account.

 

By post

Send a cheque to the BID Team made payable to SOFEA.

In Person

Please call the BID Team on 01235 510774 to make an appointment to bring your donation to SOFEA in either Didcot or Milton Keynes. This will ensure a member of the team is here to meet you. You can pay by cash or cheque.

 

Online Donation Page

If you have an online donation page, such as Just Giving, you won’t need to worry, the money gets sent straight to us regularly. If you’ve yet to contact us about your fundraiser that you’ve set up, please do email caroline@sofea.uk.com to let us know plans around your fundraiser and to see how we can support.

 

Cryptocurrency

Our JustGiving page is set up to accept donations of Cryptocurrency. It will automatically convert any donation into cash and that money gets sent straight to SOFEA’s bank account on a regular basis. Read more here.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows us to reclaim the basic rate tax you pay as a UK taxpayer. It means that we can claim 25p of tax for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you. All you need to do is make a Gift Aid declaration. If eligible, please download and complete a form, and send it in with your donation.

 

Leftover Currency

Did you know you can donate your leftover travel money to SOFEA? Do you have a drawer or jam jar, filled with foreign coins, left over travel money from previous holidays? Would you consider donating that forgotten currency to help fund a good cause? It’s easy to donate your leftover holiday cash; Simply fill out the charity exchange form and send it along with your currency to our Datchet office. We will exchange all currency, coins and notes, foreign and domestic, and donate the exchange value plus 5% extra to SOFEA.

Payroll Giving

Payroll giving is a way to donate money to charity directly from your pay check before taxes. Anyone who pays UK tax through pay as you earn (PAYE) can use Payroll Giving, which is also known as Give As You Earn or (GAYE). It’s a tax-effective way to donate to charity.
