All students on our Study Programme will benefit from an integrated employability curriculum that will help them discover their intrinsic strengths and interests, grow in confidence and communication, expose them to a wide range of careers and industries, and help them develop the internal resources to find and maintain meaningful employment.

So I was sat at home for quite a few months doing nothing because no one would take me on. Then someone suggested SOFEA. I came and gave it a go to see how I got on – and I’ve been here ever since.”

The Curriculum will include:
- Coaching (both individual and group)
- Skills workshops with employers across industries
- Company visits to get first hand experience in a range of workplaces
- Support writing CVs and cover letters (and the skills to keep updating them in the years to come)
- Support looking for jobs and making applications
- Interview preparation
- Work experience placements, for those who are showing signs of work readiness and keen to get real-world experience in work
We want every student who comes to SOFEA to leave feeling empowered to choose their next steps, and equipped with the tools they need to build their own pathway towards meaningful employment.
