Shouldn’t the local authority be doing all this?
Or schools? Or the police? Or the health service? The fact is many of the people we support have previously been helped by at least one of those agencies. But budgets are incredibly tight which means ‘official’ funding is often reserved only for the most acute cases – when people have already fallen through the cracks.
We can make a difference before they do.
When we make that difference, the police, health and social services no longer need to pick up the pieces. Which means their resources can be put to better use. And those young people can find a new and better path.
