We are proud to work in partnership with Response and Oxford Health NHS Trust to provide Child and Adolescent Mental Health support for young people within the local community.

Oxford Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are changing the way they work, to continue improving the mental health services provided to young people. As part of these changes, Oxford Health has partnered with charitable organisations across the county to increase access to mental health support. At SOFEA, we are now pleased to offer mental health and wellbeing support to young people through our CAMHS Community In-Reach contract.

Community In-Reach Workers are trained in a variety of therapies and use lower level, conversational approaches to support young people. By combining these approaches with the work SOFEA already does to promote mental health, we aim to reach many more people, make our services more accessible and help young people become more resilient and confident.

To access this service, all young people must be referred through the Oxfordshire Single Point of Access (SPA). Referrals can be made online at https://www.oxfordhealth.nhs.uk/camhs/oxon/ or via telephone to the SPA (during normal working hours) on 01865 902515.

Young people accessing mental health support may be signposted to SOFEA by the SPA team on the basis that we may be best suited to help. If more intensive support is needed, our Community In-Reach Worker can also help young people access other CAMHS teams for further assessment and review.
