Big Give 2022

There’s no question that 2022 has been a challenging year for the third sector, including SOFEA.

However, we are extremely fortunate to be included in the 2022 Big Give Christmas Challenge, the largest matched funding event of the year.

SOFEA during Covid-19

During the Covid-19 pandemic, millions of people’s lives were disrupted in multiple ways – the biggest being a loss in pay and being thrown into food poverty. SOFEA worked to relieve some of the everyday pressures by providing food parcels. Around 900 a day were made and delivered to the communities in Oxford and Milton Keynes. Now with the aftereffects and the current Cost of Living Crisis, we are continuing that work by providing local charities with food they can distribute amongst their communities.

Alongside this, we engaged with young people facing a wide range of neurodivergent vulnerabilities which can make both school and work exceedingly difficult. With your help via the Big Give, we’ll be able to support more young people on their journey to develop and grow, both academically and professionally.

This year’s campaign is made possible by matched contributions from InfraRed Capital Partners and the Julia and Hans Rausing Trust totalling an amazing £20,000. This means that for every £1 donated, we receive another £1 on top of that!

The Big Give 2022

The Big Give 2022 campaign week runs from Tuesday 29th November to Tuesday 6th December, and any donations made during that time will be doubled while the funds last. Please don’t hesitate to give what you can, while you can, to further aid an excellent cause.
