Welcome To Sofea

welcome slide

SOFEA was founded to serve the needs of families in South Oxfordshire and surrounding communities.  Its vision is to supply local charities with access to fresh, nutritional food while reducing food insecurity in the community.

Through our holistic educational training program, we offer a practical working warehouse that trains the unemployed to be job-ready, with new confidence, self-esteem and an eagerness to re-enter the workforce.

  • We partner with local community employment providers to help job seekers get back into work through education programmes.
  • We are currently working with local schools to coordinate  school-based traineeships and  work experience programmes.
  • We also work with a number of special needs schools to help students with disabilities or barriers to employment stay in school or transition to the workforce.

SOFEA is a new hub for food rescue and redistribution that will improve access to fresh food for local community programs that support people in need throughout the South Oxfordshire district.
We are looking to partner with:

  • Jobseekers
  • Clients from Prison, Probation and Youth Offending Services
  • Disability Services,
  • Disengaged Youth
  • School Students with our Nationally Accredited  Programme in Warehousing, Literacy & Numeracy and Transition to Employment.
